Board Members

Lori Jackson

Lori Jackson graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from Southern Oregon University in 1989.  With over 20 years of teaching experience, Lori is in her 12th year of teaching at Damascus Christian School. Lori and Sean, her husband of 26 years, have two sons, Justin and Luke. Justin graduated from DCS in 2010 and is now attending Oregon State University. Luke is a junior at DCS and a member of the boy’s varsity basketball team.

Lori has served as a board member to the Damascus Christian Education Foundation for three years. She is passionate about the work of the foundation because of her appreciation as a teacher, for the high-quality education offered and as a Mom because of the wonderful experience her sons have enjoyed during their time at DCS.

Gwen Olsen, M.P.A.

Gwen Olsen graduated from California State University at Sacramento with a Master's in Public Policy and Administration in 1993.  Before marrying her husband, Gwen worked for the State of California.  She has been married to Ret. Major Warren Olsen, USAF, for 15 years, and has a son in elementary school at Damascus Christian School. Gwen has two bonus daughters attending universities as of Fall 2013.

Gwen runs a small real estate management company, allowing her to focus on family, giving her the ability to volunteer at Damascus Christian School, and help with grant writing for Damascus Christian Education Foundation. She enjoys supporting her son's sporting events, encouraging travel and missions work, and playing tennis.

Brad Patrick

Brad Patrick and his wife Gina have three children who currently attend Damascus Christian School. Brad is committed to helping grow DCEF, in order to help provide financial resources for families who may not have the means to afford a private Christian education. Brad has sat on the DCEF Board since 2010, and has served DCS by coaching the elementary boys' basketball team at the elementary, junior high, and high school level.

Brad is the Co-Founder and Senior Financial Planner of Cedar Mountain Advisors, LLC. This boutique-consulting firm provides customized asset management and comprehensive financial planning to businesses and individuals. He has earned his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC™) as well as Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) professional designations. These designations were earned through The American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania in 2001 and 2002. In addition, Brad is a member of the Portland Society of Financial Services Professionals, and served on the Board of that organization in 2002.

Rachel Wakefield

Rachel Wakefield has four children who attend(ed) Damascus Christian School (DCS). She and her husband have coached the DCS High School Girls' basketball team since 2000. She has a heart to see all aspects of the ministry at DCS thrive. Specifically, she desires that financial assistance would be available to those families who lack the means to afford a Christian education for their children. Rachel Wakefield is a partner and portfolio manager at Summa Global Advisors, LLC, a local investment advisor. Rachel graduated summa cum laude from Christian Heritage College (now San Diego Christian College) with a B.A. in International Business.
